In 2007, I graduated with honors from the Polytechnic University of Turin with a Master's degree in Architecture (Environment and Landscape) with an integrated design thesis.
In 2007, I successfully passed the professional qualification exam for architects (First session 29.05.2007). Since 2007, I have been registered in section "A" of the Register of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservators of the province of Turin.
From 2009 to 2023, I collaborated with the Italian Thermotechnical Committee for Energy and Environment in the Subcommittees (SC) 01 "Heat Transmission and Fluid Dynamics," SC 02 "Air Conditioning and Refrigeration," and SC 09 "Renewable Energy Sources." I also followed some activities supporting legislation and market developments. More specifically, I was involved in the technical commissions UNI/CT 201 "Insulation and Thermal Insulation - Materials," UNI/CT 202 "Insulation and Insulation - Calculation and Testing Methods (UNI/TS 11300-1)" (and related working groups), UNI/CT 245 "Refrigeration Systems: Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration," and UNI/CT 281 "Solar Energy."
In 2012, I obtained a second Master's degree from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Faculty of Engineering, with a thesis on environmental technical physics.
From 01/02/2013 to 31/01/2014, I held the position of research fellow at the Polytechnic University of Marche, sector AGR/09 - Agricultural Mechanics.
In 2013, I won a competition for teaching positions, aimed at recruiting teaching staff under the D.D.G. 82/2012 for the subject "Laboratories of Construction Science and Technology."
From 01/02/2014 to 2023, I was a tenured teacher at the B. Vittone Technical Institute of Higher Education in Chieri (TO), specializing in the Technological sector, Construction, Environment, and Territory.
In 2015, I was admitted to the XXXI cycle of the Ph.D. program in Energy at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
I participated in the selection (notice no. 930-2015) for inclusion in the register of scholars and external experts qualified to carry out supplementary teaching activities at the Polytechnic University of Turin. I was qualified for the SSD ICAR/12 "Architectural Technology" and ING-IND/11 "Environmental Technical Physics" sectors.
In 2017, I collaborated as an adjunct instructor in the teaching of "Building Thermophysics" in the Master's Degree Course in Building Engineering.
In 2017, during the 72nd ATI National Congress on the theme "INTELLIGENT AND OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY SYSTEMS," I received the award plaque in memory of Prof. Alfano for the most deserving research in technical physics presented in the doctoral session.
In 2018, I completed a three-month internship at "The Cyprus Institute" on the topic of "nearly zero-energy hospital buildings."
In 2019, I completed my Ph.D. in Energy, defending a thesis on the design of nearly zero-energy buildings. Additionally, I worked as a tutor in the "Energy Design of Buildings" course.
Since 2019, I have resumed teaching at the IIS. Bernardo Vittone of Chieri, specializing in professional disciplines for surveyors (topography, design, construction, and systems, geopedology, economics, and appraisal) in the "Construction, Environment, and Territory" program. I also taught mathematics and physics laboratory.
From 2019 to 2022, I collaborated with the Polytechnic University of Turin in the "Energy Performance Design and Indoor Environmental Quality" course of the Master's Degree in Building Engineering (Master of Science-level of the Bologna process in Building Engineering).
I have also constantly engaged in technical and regulatory consulting activities, mainly in the energy sector.
In 2023, I served as a guest editor for the Open Access Journal from MDPI Sustainability on the Special Issue "Construction of Green Building and Energy Assessment Using a Life Cycle Approach."
In 2023, I won the public competition for a Researcher position at ENEA (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development) on the topic "Energy Assessments in Building Design, Energy Diagnoses with Definition and Verification of Retrofit Interventions, and Cost-Benefit Analysis of Identified Interventions."
Since 2024, I have been involved in studies and estimates on the national implementation of European Parliament and Council Directives on the energy performance of buildings (Directive 2024/1275 of April 24, 2024) and on energy efficiency (Directive 2023/1791 of the European Parliament and Council, of September 13, 2023), as well as energy diagnoses of historic buildings.
I am also participating, as a national expert, in the European project "Concerted Action - Energy Performance of Buildings," which aims to contribute to reducing energy consumption in European buildings through the exchange of knowledge and best practices in energy efficiency and energy saving among all 27 EU Member States plus Norway.
In 2024, I served as a guest editor for the Special Issue 'Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design' in the Open Access Journal Urban Science by MDPI.
